ABOUT US
Saturdays in the D is a free community-focused program developed by the City of Detroit in partnership with the University of Michigan Center for Innovation located in Detroit and supported by Ally Financial. It offers a range of educational and professional development opportunities for Detroit residents, including enrichment activities for youth, workforce-focused workshops, and certification programs for adults, emphasizing skill building, career advancement, and college readiness.
With additional wraparound services like technology loans, peer mentorship, and career counseling, the program empowers participants to explore new opportunities, develop competencies, and connect to
thriving career pathways.

Don’t have a computer? Don’t let that stop you from learning. SITD provides free laptop loans for learners in our program who need them for the duration of the program.
